The Boys

Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson bring you THE BOYS.Wee Hughie was an average guy with everything going for him. A fiancee at his side, things were perfect...at least until everything was torn away by a superhero! In this world, the superheroes are ungrateful uncaring asses. The comic follows the story of Wee Hughie as he is recruited to and later joins "The Boys", a CIA black ops team dealing with super-powered threats. The team consists of five super-powered beings made to deal with the incidents just like Hughie's. Butcher (a man whose wife was raped and killed by a superhero), Mothers Milk (a man who is forced to feed off his own mother's breast for his powers), Frenchman (a strange animal-like man with unknown origin), the Female (of the Species) (a mute but deadly assassin with no past) and of course...poor Wee Hughie. In an interview, Garth Ennis had stated the series "may last up to 72 issues" and that it "will out-Preacher PREACHER".Publishers#1-6: WildStorm (DC Imprint)#7-72: Dynamite EntertainmentSpin-OffsThe Boys had three spin-off minis, they were collected as volumes in The Boys series rather than as stand-alone stories. Fullmetal Alchemist

Edward and Al Elric are introduced in their plight to find the Philosopher's Stone. It all started when Ed and Alphonse were children and attempted to bring back their dead mother with Alchemy, the practice of transmuting matter. To transmute a human is considered the biggest of all sins in their world. The results of this were catastrophic for them and their friends and family. Their father, a secretive alchemist named Hohenheim, had already left years before. After they attempted bringing Trisha Elric, their mother, back to life, Ed was taken to the "Truth", an immortal being with god- like powers, which decided that as compensation for such a sin, that he would take Ed's leg. Alphonse, however, was not so lucky. Truth took his whole body and placed somewhere else within the Gate, a void like world where Truth resides. Ed saw that his brother, his only remaining Family member, was gone, and that he had also gained information about Alchemy no one would ever think about. He drew transmutation circles all over his body, one on his heart, on on his head, and one on his arm, telling himself that he would willingly lose these body parts if it meant that Al could get brought back to life. Luckily, Ed only lost his right arm, and was able to transmute his brothers soul, something else though unthinkable, into a nearby suit of armor, thus saving his life and soul, if only temporarily. Now, the Elric brothers must take on the near- immortal Homunculi, or face an impending apocalypse where all humans die. Assisted by the Amestrian army, as well as a few renegade Homunculi, the alchemists must finish what they started.English translation of the Japanese manga Fullmetal Alchemist.Collected EditionsFullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 1 (vol. 1-3)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 2 (vol. 4-6)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 3 (vol. 7-9)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 4 (vol. 10-12)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 5 (vol. 13-15)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 6 (vol. 16-18)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 7 (vol. 19-21)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 8 (vol. 22-24)Fullmetal Alchemist 3-in-1 vol. 9 (vol. 25-27)
